About the event

Field Trips to Freedom is a monthly museum playdate for children ages 6–11 at the National Great Blacks in Wax Museum Mansion. Each one-hour experience celebrates the story of a powerful historical figure alongside a cultural holiday, inviting children to explore themes of freedom, joy, and discovery.

Black History comes to life through stories, music, hands-on crafts, and creative play led by Culture Queen. Kids embody leadership qualities like confidence, courage, kindness, and pride learning how those values show up at their age, in their schools, and in their communities.

Presented by the T.E.A.C.H. Division through the APRA Arts Grant.
